Advance Technologies traces our roots back to military night vision systems of the 1970-1990 eras.  These systems were very expensive, and the technology was classified and strictly controlled.  In the early ‘90s the US government issued a commodity jurisdiction classified of IR technologies that allowed commercial applications, but maintains a tight over-sight control through ITAR (International Traffic Arms Regulations).

                Advance Technologies Inc. was founded in 1992 (original name Infrared Systems International).  The initial project was Enhanced Vision.  After working with several corporations, ATI signed an exclusive agreement with Kollsman in 1995, and a final licensing agreement in 1997. 

                In the years following the EVS program ATI has been able to develop a specific and well defined business model that guides our new business activity.  This model recognizes are strengths, the application and adaptation of Infrared Technology to perform specific useful functions.    We also recognize that a new product, into a new market, performing a new function, to satisfy an unrecognized need is about as risky as one can get.  Therefore our business model requires a strategic partner that is already in the intended field of market application.
